Steve Goulet Appointed to the GlimaWest Board of Directors
Grand Rapids, MI - Friday February 10th, 2006
Steve Goulet, President of Blue Sphere, has been appointed to the glimaWest Board of Directors. Blue Sphere has been a supportive member of the glimaWest community for several years. Steve moderated a glimaWest forum about Search Engine Optimization in 2005, and was approached by sitting President Randy Shier to assume a seat on the board. Steve plans to run for election in May for a two year term.
Steve believes that the community of technology professionals in West Michigan is critical to our future. "I see this is an opportunity to make a difference in the Grand Rapids business community as we continue to build momentum and transition to a knowledge based economy. The relationships we build within our community of technology professionals will serve as a catalyst for the dynamic growth we can achieve together in West Michigan.”
GlimaWest strives to be a driving force behind technology growth in West Michigan. The organization, based in Grand Rapids, was originally a chapter of glima (the Great Lakes Interactive Marketing Association) in Detroit. When glima merged with Automation Alley in 2001, glimaWest formed a strategic alliance with Automation Alley to share resources across the state.
GlimaWest events consistently draw an attendance of 75 to 100 per event. Attendees and members are people who use technology in their work, and may be managers, software engineers, information workers, designers, corporate executives, or students.
